The 10-plan Shopping Guide

The FOODcents 10-plan shopping guide shows how to spend your food budget on a balanced diet.

Spend your food money in the same way you balance the foods in your diet. We know that we should eat with the healthy diet pyramid, so it makes sense that we should spend with it too.

STEP 1: How much do you usually spend on food per week?

eg: Food budget = $10

STEP 2: Divide this amount by 10 to get a $ amount per part

eg: Food Budget = $10 ÷ 10 = $1 per ‘part’

STEP 3: Write down the amount you should spend on each section.
